Business travel can be tough on your physical and mental wellbeing. Living out of a suitcase is one thing, then there’s the lack of sleep, the consumption of fast foods, the many meetings, and just as many meet and greets.

If you’re travelling by car or plane to do business in Saskatchewan, why not book into our business hotel in Regina and follow these tips for travelling while on the job:

1. Packing Light Makes Light Work

If you are flying to your hotel in Regina, SK, why not decrease your travel time by packing your items in a carry-on bag. That way you won’t have to check in or check out any luggage. Wear your business attire on the plane. Bring along one or two casual outfits in neutral tones that can be mixed and matched, and at least one pair of socks and underwear for each day you will be away.

2. Include These Extra Items

When packing for your stay at our hotel, include some of these extra items, which won’t take up much room in your carry-on bag:

  • An extra pair of shoes good for walking, or running
  • Pain relief and non-habit forming sleep medication
  • Hand sanitizer
  • Pocketsize notebook and pen
  • USB flash drive
  • Business cards

And don’t forget to pack workout gear and a bathing suit, so you can utilize the facilities at our hotel, including a gym, swimming pool and hot tub.

3. Save Your Travel Time

Whether you are flying or driving, it helps to find the best hotels in Regina that are located near a major route. Look for a highway hotel or one that has easy access to the airport. Not only will you avoid traffic and long travel times, you can also enjoy an extra 30 minutes of sleep when departing for your return flight.

4. Seek out both Bed and Breakfast in Regina

Going to a business meeting on an empty stomach is not a good idea. By mid-morning, you’ll be reaching for the doughnuts and pastries. Instead look for Regina hotels with breakfast that include both healthy hot and cold items, with protein, to help you stave off those hunger pains and stay away from the empty carbs.

5. Look for Nearby Amenities and Attractions

Business travel doesn’t have to be boring. By staying in hotels that are located near shops, movie theatres, restaurants and other attractions, you’ll be able to kill a few hours in between meeting clients. It also doesn’t hurt to shop for some souvenirs to bring home to your family.
